Julian practices in Corporate and Commercial Law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, Initial Public Offerings (‘IPOs’), ASX matters, private equity transactions and general commercial, corporate and compliance work.
Julian graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with 1st class honours from the Griffith University Law School and also holds a Bachelor of International Business. Since joining the firm, Julian has been admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and Qld in 2013 and is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
Julian is a finalist in Australia’s most prestigious law awards, the ‘Lawyer’s Weekly Australian Law Awards’ for 2018 as ‘Regional/Suburban Lawyer of the Year’, ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ and was a finalist in the 2018 Lawyer’s Weekly ‘30 under 30’ in the Mergers and Acquisitions category. Julian is also the current Secretary of the Gold Coast Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Julian has a broad knowledge of corporate law and has particular industry expertise in the health, veterinary, technology and automotive sectors. Julian has applied his expertise across a number of large scale transactions, including advising on and assisting in the private equity acquisition of Australian Childcare Projects by Morgan Stanley. Julian was also instrumental in the recent rollup and ASX listing of a veterinary business, and has assisted with the company’s expansion through a range of further strategic acquisitions.
Julian has extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of Commercial Law matters and advises in relation to complex structuring, commercial transactions, employment law, intellectual property, franchising, business acquisitions and disposals, restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency. Julian also advises in relation to business succession and business migration.
Julian applies his experience to assist clients with timely and practical advice.
