Julian works at Ramsden Lawyers as a Senior Associate and practices in Corporate and Commercial Law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, Initial Public Offerings (‘IPOs’), ASX matters, private equity transactions and general commercial, corporate and compliance work.
Julian graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with 1st class honours from the Griffith University Law School and also holds a Bachelor of International Business. Since joining the firm, Julian has been admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and Qld in 2013 and is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
In 2018, Julian was a finalist in Australia’s most prestigious law awards, the ‘Lawyer’s Weekly Australian Law Awards’ as ‘Regional / Suburban Lawyer of the Year’ and ‘Dealmaker of the Year’. Julian was also a finalist in the 2018 Lawyer’s Weekly ’30 under 30′ in the ‘Mergers and Acquisitions’ category.
Julian was also a finalist in the 2019 Lawyer’s Weekly ’30 under 30′ in both the ‘Mergers and Acquisitions’ and ‘Wellness Advocate’ categories.
Julian is also the current Secretary of the Gold Coast Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Julian has applied his expertise across a number of large scale transactions, including advising on and assisting in the private equity acquisition of Australian Childcare Projects by Morgan Stanley. Julian was also instrumental in the rollup and ASX listing of a veterinary business and an automotive business.
Julian has extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of Commercial Law matters and advises in relation to complex structuring, commercial transactions, employment law, intellectual property, franchising, business acquisitions, disposals and restructuring.
Julian has particular industry expertise in the craft beer industry. Julian has been advising a number of brewery clients primarily in South East Queensland in relation to establishing and expanding operations.
