Maria Ryan

Maria Ryan is a Senior Associate in our Family Law division, bringing a wealth of expertise in property law and wills and estates. Following a dynamic career in teaching and real estate, Maria transitioned into property law before pursuing her passion for family law. Along the way, she completed a Master of Laws with a focus on Family Dispute Resolution, solidifying her focus in this field.

As a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), Maria has mediated in both the private sector and at the Blacktown Family Relationships Centre, continuing her legal practice while developing her dispute resolution skills. Her deep understanding of psychology, combined with experience in property law, estate law, negotiation, and conflict resolution, enables Maria to navigate even the most complex family law matters.

Maria is dedicated to helping clients achieve comprehensive solutions that prioritise the long term wellbeing of individuals, families, and children. Her background in teaching and counselling, paired with her proficiency in multiple areas of law, allows her to address the emotional and legal challenges that arise from relationship breakdowns. She is known for her attentive listening and clear communication and can quickly identify client needs and provide strategic, actionable advice. She assists clients in a range of matters, including parenting, property, estate planning, and mediation.
