Marilia Vianna, Ramsden Lawyers - Law Clerk

Marilia Vianna is a Lawyer in the migration team at Ramsden Lawyers. She assists with drafting legal documents and visa applications, preparing matters for merits review before the Administrative Review Tribunal and judicial review before the Federal Court, analysing complex migration and citizenship issues, conducting legal research, and supporting the team across a wide range of migration matters.

Prior to relocating to Australia, Marilia practised as a qualified lawyer in Brazil, with experience in commercial and international trade law. While completing her legal studies in Australia, she developed further experience through internships in migration, commercial, and intellectual property law, and also worked as a paralegal in personal injury.

Marilia holds a Bachelor of Laws from Brazil, together with a Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Bond University in Australia. She was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Queensland in June 2025.

Having personally experienced the journey of studying in Australia and pursuing permanent residency, Marilia developed a strong interest in migration law and a genuine commitment to assisting others through complex legal pathways. Her lived experience gives her a deep sense of empathy for her clients and the challenges they face. She also brings strong cross cultural communication skills to her role and is fluent in English and Portuguese, with proficiency in Spanish.

Outside of work, Marilia is an active member of the Latin community and enjoys attending salsa and samba classes and social events.
