Michelangelo Benedetti is a highly regarded Partner (non principal) at the firm and an Accredited Family Law Specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria.

With more than ten years of exclusive experience in family law, Michelangelo supports clients across all areas of family law, including divorce, parenting and child custody matters, property settlements, spousal maintenance, and family violence issues. He is regularly engaged in complex and high-risk cases, including those involving interstate and international considerations, and is recognised for providing clear, strategic, and practical guidance during difficult circumstances.

Michelangelo is known for his calm, approachable style, ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and confident throughout what can be an emotionally challenging process. Alongside this steady and reassuring manner, he is a strong negotiator and committed advocate, focused on securing outcomes that protect his clients’ interests while keeping the wellbeing of their family at the forefront.

Between 2018 and 2020, Michelangelo also held an in-house legal position at the headquarters of an international non-government organisation. During this time, he developed broad legal expertise across corporate governance and compliance, property and land matters, contracts, banking, taxation, privacy, employment, and litigation.

In 2025, Michelangelo was accredited as a Family Law Specialist, one of the profession’s highest recognised credentials. This accreditation reflects advanced capability and is achieved through a rigorous process assessing knowledge, skill, and experience.
