Reece Ramsden

Reece Ramsden is a Partner and Accredited Specialist in Family Law who acts exclusively in family law matters. Based primarily in Sydney, he represents clients in both negotiated settlements and fully contested court proceedings.

Reece has particular strength in litigation involving significant wealth and complex financial arrangements. He regularly conducts matters requiring expert valuation evidence, forensic accounting analysis, and detailed preparation for interim and final hearings. He is experienced in navigating the procedural and evidentiary demands of contested Family Court proceedings and preparing matters thoroughly for trial (if necessary).

In parenting disputes, Reece frequently represents clients in cases involving family violence, coercive control, substance abuse, and mental health issues. He has acted in urgent applications, defended and pursued serious risk allegations, and appeared in matters where the court is required to make difficult decisions about parental responsibility and time arrangements. He also has extensive experience advising LGBTIQ+ clients, including disputes involving transgender children, parentage orders, adoption, and surrogacy.

Reece holds degrees in both Law and Counselling from Bond University. This combination allows him to approach litigation strategically while maintaining insight into the emotional and psychological dynamics that often underpin family disputes. He is trained in Collaborative Law and utilises structured negotiation where appropriate, but he is equally comfortable advancing strong arguments before the Court.
