Terms and Conditions – $300 Legal Services Voucher

1.1       Definitions

1.2       In these Terms and Conditions:

(a)       Claimant means an Eligible Claimant who claims a Voucher in accordance with these Terms and Conditions;

(b)       Eligible Claimant means an individual who:

(i)         attends the Event;

(ii)       successfully claims a Voucher through the Promotional Campaign;

(iii)      provides details which match, or can be verified against, the original Event registration details; and

(iv)      is not otherwise excluded from participating in the Promotional Campaign under these Terms and Conditions,

(c)        Eligible Matter means a legal matter within an Eligible Practice Area where the Promoter’s Professional Fees exceed $1,000 exclusive of GST;

(d)       Eligible Practice Areas means the Promoter’s Commercial, Wills & Estates, Family Law, Migration and Litigation practice areas;

(e)       Event means the Amir Prestige Business Lunch event held on 17 July 2026 at The Langham Gold Coast.

(f)         Excluded Matter means:

(i)         any Personal Injury matter;

(ii)       any matter where the Promoter’s Professional Fees do not exceed $1,000 exclusive of GST;

(iii)      any matter which is not within an Eligible Practice Area;

(iv)      any matter where the Promoter determines that it is unable or unwilling to act; and

(v)       any other matter determined by the Promoter to be unsuitable for use of the Voucher,

(g)       Professional Fees means the professional legal fees charged by the Promoter for legal services provided in an Eligible Matter, but does not include:

(i)         GST;

(ii)       office charges, administration fees, sundries, postage, printing, photocopying or other internal charges;

(iii)      government charges, duties, taxes, levies, filing fees, application fees or registration fees;

(iv)      title searches, company searches, property searches, insolvency searches, court searches, PPSR searches or any other searches;

(v)       barrister fees, expert fees, consultant fees, agent fees or external service provider fees;

(vi)      settlement fees, PEXA fees, bank fees, courier fees or process server fees; or

(vii)     any other third party costs, disbursements, outlays, expenses or charges,

(h)       Promoter means Ramsden Lawyers ABN 21 621 228 280;

(i)         Promotional Campaign means the Lawyers $300 Legal Services Voucher promotion conducted in connection with the Event;

(j)         Privacy Policy means the Promoter’s privacy policy, as amended from time to time;

(k)        Terms and Conditions means these terms and conditions;

(l)         Voucher means a $300 credit which may be applied towards Professional Fees charged by the Promoter in one Eligible Matter, subject to these Terms and Conditions; and

(m)      Voucher Period means the period commencing on 17 July 2026 and ending at 11:59pm AEST on 17 July 2027.

1.3       Promotional Campaign

2.1 The Promoter is conducting the Promotional Campaign in connection with the Event.

2.2 By claiming, attempting to redeem, or redeeming a Voucher, each Claimant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2.3 The Voucher is available to both new and existing clients of the Promoter, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

2.4 The Voucher does not constitute legal advice and does not create a solicitor-client relationship between the Promoter and the Claimant.

1.4       Claiming a Voucher

3.1 To claim a Voucher, an Eligible Claimant must successfully claim the Voucher through the designated Promotional Campaign.

3.2 The Promoter may require the Claimant to provide information reasonably necessary to verify their eligibility, including their name, email address and Event registration details.

3.3 Voucher claims will be cross-checked against the name and email address provided in the original Event registration.

3.4 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse, cancel or invalidate any Voucher claim which is incomplete, duplicated, fraudulent, incorrectly submitted, unable to be verified, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions.

1.5       Voucher Limit

4.1 Each Claimant may claim a maximum of one Voucher.

4.2 Each Voucher may only be applied to one Eligible Matter.

4.3 A Voucher may not be split across multiple matters.

4.4 Any unused portion of the Voucher will be forfeited and will not be refunded, credited, transferred or carried over to any other matter.

4.5 The Voucher is personal to the Claimant and is not transferable, refundable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

4.6 The Voucher cannot be combined with any other voucher, promotion, discount, fee reduction or special offer unless otherwise approved by the Promoter in writing.

1.6       Redemption

5.1 The Voucher may only be redeemed during the Voucher Period.

5.2 The Voucher may only be applied towards Professional Fees in one Eligible Matter where the Promoter’s Professional Fees exceed $1,000 exclusive of GST.

5.3 The Voucher cannot be applied to any amount other than Professional Fees.

5.4 The Voucher cannot be applied retrospectively to any invoice, matter, work or costs incurred before the Voucher is validly redeemed and accepted by the Promoter.

5.5 The Promoter may require the Claimant to present the digital Voucher at the time of redemption.

5.6 If the Voucher is not redeemed within the Voucher Period, the Voucher will expire and will no longer be valid.

1.7       Legal Services and Right to Decline

6.1 The issue, claim or presentation of a Voucher does not oblige the Promoter to accept instructions from, provide legal advice to, or act for the Claimant.

6.2 The Promoter reserves the right to decline to act in any matter, regardless of whether the Claimant holds, claims or presents a Voucher.

6.3 Any legal services provided by the Promoter remain subject to:

(a)       the Promoter’s usual client intake procedures;

(b)       conflict checks;

(c)        identification and verification requirements;

(d)       any applicable legal, regulatory and professional obligations;

(e)       the Promoter’s acceptance of the matter; and

(f)         the Claimant entering into the Promoter’s client engagement documentation.

6.4 A solicitor-client relationship will only be created if and when the Promoter agrees to act for the Claimant and the Claimant enters into the Promoter’s client engagement documentation.

6.5 The Promoter may decline to act, or may determine that the Voucher cannot be used, including where:

(a)       there is an actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest;

(b)       the matter falls outside the Eligible Practice Areas;

(c)        the matter is an Excluded Matter;

(d)       the matter is not an Eligible Matter;

(e)       the Claimant does not satisfy the Promoter’s client intake, identification or verification requirements;

(f)         the Claimant does not agree to the Promoter’s client engagement documentation;

(g)       the matter is urgent and the Promoter is unable to assist within the required timeframe;

(h)       the Promoter considers that it does not have capacity to take on the matter; or

(i)         the Promoter otherwise determines that it is unable or unwilling to act.

6.6 If the Promoter declines to act, or determines that the Voucher cannot be used, the Voucher will not be redeemable for cash, credit or any alternative benefit.

1.8       Eligible and Excluded Matters

7.1 Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Voucher may only be used for an Eligible Matter.

7.2 Personal Injury matters are excluded from the Promotional Campaign.

7.3 The Promoter may determine whether a matter is an Eligible Matter or an Excluded Matter.

1.9       Privacy and Marketing

8.1 By claiming a Voucher, Claimants consent to the Promoter collecting and using their personal information for the purposes of:

(a)       administering the Promotional Campaign;

(b)       verifying eligibility;

(c)        contacting the Claimant in relation to the Voucher;

(d)       providing legal services, where applicable;

(e)       providing legal updates, event invitations and marketing communications; and

(f)         any other purpose set out in the Privacy Policy.

8.2 Claimants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

8.3 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

1.10    General

9.1 The Promoter is not responsible for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed or misdirected Voucher claims, including where caused by technical issues, internet failure, network disruption or any other cause outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.

9.2 The Promoter may cancel or invalidate any Voucher which the Promoter reasonably suspects has been claimed, used or attempted to be used in a manner which is fraudulent, duplicated, misleading, improper or inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions.

9.3 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, postpone or withdraw the Promotional Campaign where reasonably necessary, including due to technical issues, Event changes, unauthorised interference, fraud, administrative error, or any other circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.

9.4 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage or expense suffered or incurred in connection with the Promotional Campaign or the Voucher, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

9.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by law.

9.6 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland.
